does it sound the same on whatever you set up?

I have sone screens that show modat and allow you to change the id or something and others that just let me select it.


and whats a good default modat setting?

unpacking a codeplug

ok how many of you have unpacked a out of band codeplug into your radio?

does it always give you th eoption to unpack anyways?

Im getting my radio finished programing and just want to bring the codeplug and have em dump it in the radio.

well as far as programming this is a all open totpic i just happen to be using a as3 to do it but any radio can be done the same wayu.

I will mod the rss so that it can go lower and just have them force dump it into the radio, if they will

well its a as3 and i got a modified codeplug first and it had all ready down to 444 and such but when i manually tried to change them in a unmodified version it knocked it to 450 its rss 9.05 and no i havent tried dumping it into a radio yet since I will be taking it to the radio shop once i finish ...

Out of band programming

I have a band split of 450-512 ans want to program it lower and i do so in the codeplug. by using the hex editor if i take it to a place where the rss isnt hex edited will it say out of range when they dump the codeplug in it ? or since i allready had the codeplug edited would it take it no problems...

i would use it just to be a more ruggerized case. I dont plan on soaking it in water. my standard AS3 case probably would do the same, but I may look to seal it up

yeah radio shops dont know much.

they charge you 50.00 a hour to program 160 personalitys into a Astro

and when the guy can only do 10 a hour cause he cant do crap you know its fleecing.

better to have someone who knows what they are doing and pay for it then to pay and have it not done right

they should make it compatable.

I have rss 6.05 for the Astro and the radio was programmed with newer so get the codeplug to old crap. how hard is it to pull the plug and then reprogram it so I can actually use the software i have , i dont want to give M m ore money for something that I should get for free. stupid upgrades sure suck
