Astro25 Flashport Software

Anyone know what the latest is? Is host 14.00.01 the latest or is there a newer release?

Re: HACK O'DA MONTH-ADD DISPLAY TO YOUR SINGLE IMPRES CHARGER!

Could someone repost the photo and/or description of where to connect a CDM (charger display module) to an Astro25/Jedi single unit charger like the WPLN4111? The photos Doug once had attached to this topic are gone. If possible I'd like to receive them direct at 840@cox.net
Thanks very much.

In addition: remove analog spectra command, mlm and rf board. Insert astro command, vocon and rf board. Cram in correct s-record, re-tune, program and done. Jason K, well, I guess the simple answer is no, it won't plug and play. I don't have the astro parts mentioned so I guess my plan is SOL. I wa...

A W3 not an A3 or any other HHCH.

Spectra/Astro Spectra question

Can an Astro Spectra W3 HHCH and coorsponding interconnect board (MHLN6459) be used on a B7 non-Astro low power Spectra? If so, what must be done (if anything) to make this work (MLM changes, control board, etc.)? If this can't work will anything be damaged (HHCH, interconnect board, radio) if it's ...

XTVA & MTVA

There's seems to be little info on the PA's available for XTVA's but the holsters still use a DB25 remote/acc connector and the same interconnect cable as the MTVA's use. I'm wondering if an XTVA will work with the MTVA controller/PA units, anyone tried this?

REN4000A flex fixture

I have an opportunity to get a new REN4000A flex fixture (for HT600 and MT1000) but having not yet used one I was wondering are they helpful and worthwhile when working on these radios? Any of you with experience have a preference? Prefer to use the fixture? Don't like it? Doesn't matter either way?

The 6881067C40 part number comes up as a "INSTR MAN". Can anyone verify whether or not it is actually the service manual? Motorola has made that mistake before.

Jedi Question

Anyone know of a way to increase the brightness of display characters (or change display contrast) on a MT2000? I have a new controller in mine as well as a new 12 key front and the characters seem a bit too dim. I've looked throught the SM and the RSS but don't see any reference to this.

XTS5000 Question

I have a model I VHF XTS5000. Can it be changed/modified/upgraded somehow to a model II or model III? If I plug in a model II display/limited keypad front will it work? If not, can something be done to make it work? While I'd like to have the additional modes offered in the model II/III I'd be happy...

Thanks. Tech support told me when I ordered the controller that 6.06 was the latest. Rechecking the latest software list I see an asterisk next to the MT2000 listing. I'll find 6.08.

I purchased a new controller board for a MT2000. Initialization went fine using the RSS however, I can not read the codeplug. An error message telling me the codeplug is too new comes up. I am using RVN4097 v.06.06 (the latest). Any idea why Moto would release a new controller that the latest RSS ca...
