Try doing a file search for anything related to the ASTRO software, sometimes there is still files remaining on the system after an un-install. Delete those and then re-boot.

As with Motorola and other USB cables sometimes if you go into the Device Manager of the computer, un-install that particular device driver then re-connect the cable and device to load the driver again it sometime clears the problem.

Be aware also, as some of us have found out, that even running the radio through NCIC, you could get a knock at the door 6 months or later down the road stating that the radio you purchased is in fact stolen.

When you removed the installation and then re-installed it how did you do this? Removing the program from just the add/remove programs field will not remove all the files. You have to do a search after that process from anything related to that program and remove those items as well then do a re-ins...

It's probably that the software is a copied version and not an original factory version. If it is I think that might be the problem. When you make a copy, sometimes not all the files are copied and usually it is one of the .dll files.

Like the HP 8924, the HP 8921 and the HP 8935 all these units for servicing cellular equipment and base stations are going by the way side, meaning no longer supported, and was wondering, if there are any cell guys on the board, what equipment are they using now to service the cellular field.

The R2670D manual makes reference to a internal test key of 707070....hex. It states ASTRO radios also have an internal Test Key which I have not seen or have tested personally.

You would only need the system key to make changes to the trunking fields, you should have no problem changing the fields that are of interest to you with the CPS and the programming cable.

The alignment has to be performed in the tuning software. The radio has to be read with the tuning software first.

01/A2 states reflashing of the tuning codeplug. I would try to re-align the unit since the RF board was replaced.
