Extra channels on MCS2000 model 1

Hi I have here a MCS2000 model 1, model M01KHL9PW4AN.
I know that they are 48 mode radio's but have seen various references to 150 modes being available as an option.
Is there a way to enable more than 48 modes (hack or forcing in a codeplug etc).
Or is it a pay 'M' big £'s .
Also can model 1 MCS's ...

Hey Alex

would you have a location for the info on the SB9600 protocol?
I tried searching the web with google but could't find it
I started to write some code to talk to an MCS2000 serially from the pc, a copy of the protocol would be usefull.

A link / copy would help loads.

Further to my last post, If I am going to figure it out myself, would anyone be able to post the relevant page from the service manual that shows the schematic of the Warris radio's cpu/memory and also the wiring to the radio's side connector.
This will make life easier finding how the 12v flash ...

Waris series ribles cable help.

Hi
Does anyone have any info or a schematic for the Ribless cable
for the Waris series of radio?
I believe the part number is RKN4075A.
The drawing on the Batlabs page is incorrect, I took a look inside a genuine RKN4075A cable 'D' shell and there is a small pcb with 2/3 i.c's and some other smt ...

Hi guys
the MTP200/300 is/was supplied in the UK to various police forces
for use on the 'airwave' service.
Basically a tetra service run by British telecom (under a different name) for fire/police service etc.
The radios are TETRA only, purely digital tdma.
They are in two ranges, 380-400mhz and ...

Thanks all for the replies, I was a bit concerned that maybe the GP380 wouldn have more memory than the 340 and that it wouldn't be able to hold enough channels etc.

Well here goes, I ordered a replacement front panel and case lets go for it...

GP340 upgrade

Hi

I have been offered a GP340 UHF, but I need more than 16 channels, is it possible to add display and keypad and re-flash it into say a GP360 or 380?
I've never played with the PRO series so I don't have a manual to
compare the units.

I don't have lab, but I had a poke around the vco with the spec analyser and the vco seems to be running (unlocked) around 257mhz.
According to the book the I.F. is 109.65mhz so the rx should be on about 147ish mhz.
Looking at the rf P.A it seems identical to the 50w one in the manual.

hi Alex

Yeah I didn't think the model number looked quite right.
I've just done a bit of checking with the service manual and I am fairly sure that it is a VHF range 1.

Looking at the R.F bits and checking with the service manual I am farily sure it is a VHF Range 1 radio, the RX front end part ...

Hi all
Yep, I tried two different Systems saber 3's
Both VHF and Three ntn4174b modules, no luck on any.
The modules all work fine in UHF standard sabers though.
The systems saber 3's work fine with the bypass modules installed.

The radio WILL NOT read with the ntn4174 module in it.

Guess the ...

HI I have a systems saber 3 secure capable radio that is currently fitted with the secure bypass module ntn4270.
Now, if I remove this and replace it with a ntn4713b secure module, the radio doesn't appear to power up, the display is blank, even trying to read it fails.
Replacing the ntn4713 with ...
