Re: Multiple O3 CONTROL HEADs on APX 8500?

Does anyone know if the APX 8500 supports multiple O3 Control Heads? If so, how do you get them to work once they have been enabled in the CPS? Multiple control heads with O3 is not supported. You can't also mix/match heads either (e.g. and O2 and O7). If you want it I would put a case in requestin...

It is in each personality under features. Make sure it is turned on for each conventional personality you want the RSSI to show up on. Any channel in that personality will then show the RSSI. Remember the feature does not work during scan.

It does it automatically - you don't have to do anything special like Astro25. The APX products automatically flash themselves. That's why the CPS says you can disconnect the radio before the radio is done flashing. The APX Software copies the firmware to the radio then the radio goes through the pr...

There is an O&M / Local port. You can connect by serial - I think it's 9600-8-n-1, if not it might be a higher baud rate. If you watch it boot it might give you some clues as to where the malfunction is exactly, or, it might also have set it back to the default out of box IP's, but, in theory it...
