Looks like both batteries are old stock. 102= week 2 in 2001 and 522= 22nd week in 2005. Hi, I ordered 2 new batteries for my ht1000's from a local Motorola dealer. The screw bar/plate that the face plates mount to will accept any type of screw that will fit in the whole of the face plate. I don't know how to explain it very well but the material of the screw bar is soft enough to screw into without a lot of force. We use a #15 torx to mount our face plates.

The PTT popple inside the radio may be misaligned. It happens a lot in the HT1000 as well. Just pull the popple off and realign it.

I did some experimenting. According to the Mouser book I looked up the 8K EEProm in, it shows it being a 28 pin chip. The best thing to do is to replace the jack. Cleaning the jack will only help for a short time.

Now, getting the old one out and putting the new one in is kind of like a puzzle.....but it is possible. Maybe your tech can help with that.

We use both the 600 and the 650. If you program the 600 the same as your 650 it will work. As far as I can tell there isn't any difference in operation between the two, just the radio's are different.
