Re: Trouble with CDM1250 repeater
From experience some of the Chinese cables that have a timing delay that use latent +12v on pin 10. I've noted that some MaxTracs and GM300s I have will have +12v on pin 10 when turned on. CDMs don't have this and pin 10 is always low. It is a long shot of course, because those Chinese cables are a ...

Anyone have the text the old SRN1397 for the XTS3000? As I recall it has to do with installing a plastic or rubber insulating material between the front cover and the RF deck shields, I know this SRN was superseded by SRN1473.

I've been holding off upgrading our fleet for a while now, hoping to hear more about the issue. I may go ahead and update one shift and see how it goes. The "squeal of death" is a known issue in older firmware and the solution is to upgrade to the latest version. A decent amount of our radios had the problem and Motorola originally didn't know what was going on. Eventually they just told us that a firmware upgrade should fix the problem, ...

EDIT: I remind you that by the FCC's own rules; itinerant is meant to define radio systems, that move place to place and maybe on the air for an indeterminate amount of time. Indeed, I just remember been told an itinerant license doesn't extend to fixed point operation. Simplex itinerant frequencie...

But is FB2I operation permissible on property you own? FB2I is used to define a repeater that moves from place to place. So yes, it would be legal on your property. An FB2I is not intended to provide a HUGE area coverage. But more of a localized repeater system for an event, or what have you. EDIT:...

Honestly, you'd be surprised. Peruse some of the itinerant licenses that were successful. "90.35A - Temporary communications support for special events". That's perhaps the vaguest thing I've ever read. This is the vaguest thing ever -- however its a valid use case for Individuals and Bus...

There is no such emission code as 12K50FXE for DMR. The 7K60FXD and 7K60FXE are used for both repeated and simplex communications.
FWIW: 12K50 isn't even a correct prefix for 12.5khz channels; 11K2 is the 12.5khz channel prefix.

I'd like to interject that ... my EF Johnson 5100 scan's about 32 or so conventional channels relatively quick (with room for a plenty more channels in the scanlist). As I answered you on the other site:
Pin 5 is common gnd for both logic and audio on the MaxTrac/GM300 (Radius) mobiles. You'd need to tie Pin 5 on the RJ45 to both 5 and 6 on the RJ11.
