i dont know if this helps but ill throw it out there... i was using DDWRT in a early wap54g and a late model wrt54g. The wap worked pretty much flawlessly, the wrt had lots of problems... may been a hardware thing. I swapped both out with the ubiquiti bullet2hp and high gain antennas. the OS handles...

Some dudes on qrz . Com forums says homebrewing a trbo compatibale radio is a easy!!! all you need is to buy a ambe chip for 25 Is he nuts? Also word is HYT radios are compatiable with trbo... Any truth to this?

System Saber Squelch?
I have a VHF system saber that i programmed a while ago, however i did not set tone squelch for some repeaters, and the standard squelch level is set a little low in the software. Did i miss the option to set standard squelch level via function key, or am i dreaming?

i am surprised the range i got with just a 150mw signal. using a small diamond SRH805 HT Antenna mounted directly on the usrp on the 2nd floor of my house i was able to receive clear digital 300 feet down the stree in an urban neighborhood. not bad!

since this got tucked away in a dark corner... if anyone is interested in this setup check out op25 http://sedition.org.au/op25/ work continues on this project, expect to see a repeater setup soon. hard ware used is a usrp1 http://www.ettus.com/ which will set you back 700 big ones, plus rf boards.....

i turned off all the cpu cache and underclocked the thing way down

question assuming you have a radio thats used on the system that you want to monitor, and assuming you have the correct cable and software, it should be possible to read the radio 'codes' correct? is it possible the system admin would lock the radio out from reading its information via password ? or...
