XTS2500 Tactical Connector Cover

Post by MotoFAN »

Hi all!

I remember some talks about XTS2500 Connector Cover (Tactical), used for e.g. by Marine Corps.

P/N of this part should be on forum, but I can't find it :(

I know that this part isn't visible on MOL for usual account holders, but I am interesting in it in any case.

Please help.

1571035M01, I believe. It was/is an IP67 rated dust cover that I've only ever seen on those Marine Corps radios that were floating around a while back.

I have IP67 rated XTS2500 here, the cover # is 1505579Z01 available on MOL. Just the standard cover with a gasket on it. Never seen the tactical cover though....

I don't like plastic covers for XTS2500, because it require slot screwdriver to remove it. But screwdriver leaves small blemishes on case.

Tactical one significantly different (pics from eBay):

Major difference - it can be easily removed just by two fingers. Screwdriver no needed anymode! No damages to the radio case and hard to lose.

But tactical one noticeably bigger that standard cover.

I have one. I like it better than the standard one. I had a modified Jedi cover I used for a while too.

It's hard to get item in the past (gov orders in set with radio only). But now it's easy available on MOL (SRP $12.00). escomm offers these covers for a very resonable price.
