New Maratrac Question, Help!

Post by mfdeng5 »

Hi all, scooped up a NIB old stock low-band Maratrac. Date code i believe is 2003? I hooked it up on my bench read it with my old laptop, programmed it up fine. After i sent info to radio it would go to a scan mode through all the channels? Iam unable to control any of the buttons on the head? I read radio again, all info is still there but it goes into that crazy uncontrolable scan again? Its been a while since i played with one of these, am i missing something? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Happy Holidays

Have you checked to see if your control head (clam shell, advanced, hand-held) actually agrees to what has been selected on the RSS page?

This is a long shot, but open the radio and check to see if it somehow got a logic board with the DALLAS chip.

It should have a newer board, but who knows.

Gotta LOVE those Dallas semiconductor clock chips!
When the internal batteries fail, all hell can break loose!

I had one of those in an old 900 Maxtrac from a casino in AZ.
