APX6000 1W speaker?

Post by sjxts3000 »

Why do the spec sheets show the APX6000 UHF-2 band variant having a 1W speaker when all other band options have only 500mW audio? Is that a typo? I always thought all 6000's were 500mW.

Spec sheets:
APX6000 http://www.motorolasolutions.com/web/Bu ... _Sheet.pdf
APX6000XE http://www.motorolasolutions.com/web/Bu ... 0Sheet.pdf

Is there something special about the UHF2 units that needs a 1W speaker? Or is this a typo in *both* spec sheets?

Pretty sure it's a typo.

But on both the XE and non-XE spec sheets? Rare typo. I'd love to confirm this one way or another. Anyone with a UHF2 wanna get the p/n from the speaker unit? And the same for any other band?

OK, I logged a case with MOL and got a response...here's what they said:
The audio output for UHF R2 should be 500MW like all the other APX6000 frequency bands. Thank you for pointing the error in specification sheet.
The audio output of the APX6000 speaker part number NHN7016A is 500mW.
