XPR4550 VOX operation

Post by Anderegg »

How does VOX work in an XPR4550? Have one with Connect Plus trunking board installed, and wish to add a line-in audio source via the rear accessory connector to operate in VOX mode. Is this possible with the PMKN4018, or is there a different option board for VOX operation? This is for conventional analog, or conventional DMR if analog is not compatible with VOX.

Also, for an IFB type application, what level conversions are necessary to feed the audio into the rear accessory harness to accept the line level connection without strange distortion? Familiar with older analog mobile versions of this, but the XPR stuff is new to me.

Thanks!
