Motorola Syntor VCO

Post by Gretrad »

My Syntor (not Syntor X) service manual only shows diagrams for one VCO board. I know the Syntor was available in 4 frequency ranges. I have a Range 4 (162-174) which works well on the 2 meter ham band after I jumped the VCO tuning caps. I made no component changes.

Question -- do you know if the Syntor VCO board was the same for all 4 ranges, and just the jumpers were changed as needed and the board numbers reflected the freq. range?

Or were there various component changes made in addition to the jumpers for the different freq. ranges.
