Adapter for TNC modem and HT750. HT1250

Post by ericpero »

Hello,

I am starting packet radio and I want to connect TNC modem on an Motorola HT750 (of course there is 2 of them)

I am looking for a solution to link modems and radios together. It coud be, cable, wiring, adapter solution,

Modems has a pintout like this:
  • RX_audio
  • TX_audio
  • Ground
  • PTT
I grab a good amount of information about Radio HT750 model:
The nearest pin association that I made is the following :
  • Pin 1 - Speaker +
  • Pin 2 - Speaker -
  • Pin 4 - Microphone audio
  • Pin 5 - PTT (short 5 & 7 to transmit)
  • Pin 7 - Ground
  • Pin 6 - External accessory port enable (short 6 & 7 to enable the side accessory port)
But I still dont have the proper pinout association.

I am questioning if the accessory port of TH750 accessory port is compatible with the TNC. Specially about signals specifications.

Do I have to put specials elements for a possible signal convertion (Resistance, capacitor...)
Do you have any resources, contacts or suggestion to validate and help me to go further with that?

Thank you for your time and expertise.

Eric
