Radius GP300 Five Tone P94YPC09C5AA

Post by petbro1 »

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased two of these models; one a vhf (P93YPC00D2AA) and the other, UHF,P94YPC09C5AA . Using the hex editor i was able to turn the VHF 8 channel into 16 ok with no problems. Now that i got the RSS to read the UHF Five tone i am completely at loss with the channel freq. set up. My TX is from 403 to 433 where as my RX is from 433 to 470. So trying to put in the same freq (UK Business Lite) in TX and RX is out of the question. Unless someone out there knows different. Is it possible to change the model number in the codeplug ? Just NOT liking this five tone radio at all. Thanks

Would like just to add: If there's a more detailed description of how to do Out of band for 5-tone radiosi'd appreciate it. Ive tries the magic shift and shift+F2 but both didn't work so i'm left only with option 3.

Hello:
Its been awhile since I messed with a gp300 5 tone but as I recall .
The transmit and rx were not programmed in the same area of the radio as you did the usa gp300 .
Tx channels were in one spot for all tx freqs but you went to another spot to do all the receive freqs.
And I do know for a fact on the gp300 5t portables I repaired for a customer that it did do simplex same freq to same freq.
But a P94YPC09C5AA is not listed in my repair manual for a gp300 select 5 tone ??????
Theres only two uhf bands available per my service repair manual as well and only 403 to 433 MHz or 438 to 470 mhz.
Motorola does not show a 403 to 470 MHz as a two band spread in in gp300 5t as a whole band.
Its shown as one ore the other.
If you look at your rf bd and if by chance its HLE8063A then its a 12.5 narrow band 438 to 470 MHz bd.
If its a HLE8065A rf bd its a 438 to 470 25 kHz wide band rf bd.
If its HLE8062A rf bd its a 403 to 433 MHz rf bd.
If its HLE8064A rf bd then its a 403 to 433 MHz 25 kHz wide band rf bd
If below would work and rf bd matches Id consider just putting back in the original code plug for a P94YPC09C2AA which is a 438 to 470 MHz spread at 25 kHz wide band ( NOT 12.5 NB).
I'm sure I still have the code plug in my old computer and lord only knows why but I also have the gp300 select v repair manual for the 5 tone gp300.
Have no use for eighter now as customer has long since replaced those radios.
Your P93YPC00D2AA is a 12.5 narrow band at freq spread of 146 to 174 MHz at 8 ch but you edited the d to a c making it a 16ch version.

HLE8062A is a 403 to 433 MHz rf bd at 12.5 kHz narrow band.
