I thought there was a prog cable (RIB-SSM) in the stuff I sent you. If not, there should be a pinout in one of the manuals.
When programming the SSM head, not only the programming cable, but a SSM-radio interface cable must also be connected. This is because the power for the head, required during programming, must come through the interface cable. For this purpose, I used one of the unterminated generic interface cables (part # forgotten). As I remember, one of these wires was orange. It is not necessary to have the SSM head connected to the radio for programming, as I only programmed the SSM units on the bench.
