GTR8000 and E&M keying

Post by pluto1914 »

I have a GTR8000 that I'm looking to key using E&M (via an NXU2A). I have the GTR Base radio manual and the replacement guide as well but they leave me scratching my head a bit.

Essentially I will use the provided system connector/wireline cable connected to a 66 block and from there I will make the necessary connections on the block to connect the NXU.

Any insight in regards to where I should be looking would be appreciated!

A quick reply until I can get back to the office & look at the manual:

GTR has Basic WIldcard features just like or similar to a Quantar; Set up so that the PTT output of the NXU-2A, connects to the Digital I/O of a opto-coupler Input, & program that for PTT (from Wireline). Similar for Receiver Unsquelched, to drive teh COS signal into the NXU-2.
