Centracom II B1422 card DC remote to tone remote?

Post by miken8eqd »

Hello,

I have a functioning Centracom II console with one B1422 board that is configured for DC remote. The rest of the B1422 boards are configured for tone remote.

Since I have tone remotes connected up to Motorola GM300 radios (and a ICOM ID-880 D-star radio), It would be nice to see if this board could be configured for tone remote to match the rest of the boards.

Would the cards EEPROM have to be programmed for either tone or DC remote?

Could i just remove the daughter board and just change jumpers to make the card generate guard tones?

thanks

The base control parameters are defined in the operator position personality programming which is performed with different methods depending on the type of operator card - OMI, TOMI, or COIM.

Ok Thanks for the information. Looks like if the position is programmed for DC remote,

Therefore, i will have to look for a used DC remote for that card.

Thanks
