MIP5000 Dropping Inbound Audio

Post by KennB »

Have a 2 position MIP running on its own network, HP26xx switch. Have 6 gateway 3 of which are Digital gateways hooked to DJB and W9 consolettes. Problem comes with inbound traffic on the digital channels. The first few words are getting cut off, seems to be on all the digital channels. The analog ones dont seem to have the same issue. Any ideas would be helpful.

I would start with putting a speaker on the consolette or using a MC3000 digital deskset to verify there is no missed audio caused by the consolette. Then assuming the radio is working properly I would look at the RX detect threshold in the CSDM configuration for the digital channels and maybe make it lower.

What radios do you own?: Motorola

Check the alignment of the consolette radios. I bet they are drifting off frequency.
