Quantar pin outs.

Post by Richard Collier »

Looking for a wiring diagram for the 2 front phone type jacks on the front of the Quantar control panel. Any pfd that I can download and look at. One shows a speaker and the other a hand set. What type of hand set or model number is used? Trying to set up a small remote with just a speaker and mike in another room.

Have you checked the downloads at the Repeater Builder web site?

per the quantar manual:

"USED TO CONNECT TELEPHONE-STYLE HANDSET WITH PTT BUTTON
(TMN6164 OR EQUIVALENT)
OR
MICROPHONE WITH PTT BUTTON (HMN1001A OR EQUIVALENT)"

and

"USED TO CONNECT 6W EXTERNAL SPEAKER (HSN1000)"

Hi folks!

Who can warm-up brother with information about modern replacement for 30-years old Motorola product? I am talking about RJ-11 handset w/ PTT known as TMN6164 / TMN6164A. Situation is strange - RJ-11 is still used in G-series equipment, but Quantar-era handset P/N has gone and can't be found in MOL. G-series papers keep silence about compatible accessory. Very strange.
I am biggest fan of XTS2500 and ASTRO Digital Saber.
