MTR2000 VHF exciter output?

Post by rodell »

I just got a MTR delivered to my bench. Does anyone know what the exciter output is supposed to be?

There's something flaky and output power jumps all over the place, sometimes steady, sometimes very erratic. The tap test doesn't see anything.

All of the diagnostics pass. It's a 100W amp, and, was supposedly removed from service for a digital upgrade. I'm well within the range at 152 MHz.

Any thoughts?

The MTR3000 VHF exciter RF output spec is +12 to +16dBm and I would presume it's the same for the MTR2000.
