MTR3000 and Analog Simulcast (Has it been tried?)

Post by psapengineer »

Hello,

Has anyone played around with testing the MTR3000 in an analog simulcast application?

Here's why I ask: Historically the older MTR2000s were rumored to have unstable latency through the audio processing and modulation process. This is rumored to have been resolved in later versions of firmware (if you know which version firmware resolved this please share?).

I'm curious to know if the MTR3000s out of the box have the stable latency necessary for simulcast as the audio moves through the processing and modulation process.

Thanks in advance, Bob

Talk to escomm about this. There are major issues related to inconsistencies in timing between keyups that render this station full of issues in simulcast as I understand it.
