Quantro info

I am curious, I have been told the Quantro "PA" that is in the same shelf is nothing but a path for the exciter to get to the outboard IPA, makes sense.
Now the question, is that "PA" that is connected to the exciter frequency dependent?
Second question, is the IPA and PA in the 350W VHF MSF5K the same or can it be converted/modified to work as a Quantro??
Easy to see where I am going with this, Quantro docs are not easily found....
Thanks

In UHF and 800 stations the IPA in the station does actually contain a power module to take the mW exciter output up to 2-6W to drive the MSF5000 PAs with. VHF stations do not have an IPA, and the exciter feeds the PAs directly.

800 IPAs can be moved from 800 to UHF with a swap of the power hybrid and some other chip component changes. The big Quantar/Quantro/AstroTAC service manual was scanned and posted here a few years ago, and the IPA schematics break out the component changes.

There is a picture of the inside of the 800 MHz IPA here on eBay:

Don't know how long the link to that image will last.

Any one have a picture, manual, or schematic of VHF Quantro IPA?

Picture I can do. Anything specific you want to see? The board part number is TLD9920.
The schematic should be around here, but it wasn't in the service binder - just the UHF and 800 modules. You know how it goes, somebody takes the page out of the binder and forgets to put it back. (and that somebody would be me...)

Thanks for the pictures,

I am looking for one but there are none to be found cheap right now.
Some postings hinted that they were a straight thru signal path but your pic disproves this.
There not in the service manual either. Looks like I need to find a VHF IPA board to stick into a 800 MHz one.
Will keep looking around
