comms between radio/console and handheld

Post by naphelge »

I have a Motorola CDM1550 wired to a Zetron tone remote 250, which is in turn wired to a Zetron tone remote 284, all in the same room as a bit of a lab set up.

Can someone please confirm whether or not I am correct in my assumption that when this set-up is powered up that I should have comms between a (Motorola HT1250) handheld and the tone remote 284 when they both have the same channel selected?

What radios do you own?: Too many for the time I have.

Yes, you should, assuming everything is connected correctly.

Sorry, don't mean to sound snarky or anything, but we've all had brainfarts ocasionaally, right?

The 284 is a 4-line remote, isn't it (been a while)? I forget how it comes up on POR; or don't you have to tell it which lines to automatically select?

2 wire operation? Got the right pair?

And does the CDM1550 RX & TX with the handheld OK?
