gr1225 repeater question

Post by johnny1225 »

We are using a UHF GR1225 Repeater at one of our customer locations. We have 2 antenna's hooked into a tee. I was wondering is there a way to balance this system a little better.

If you are using a plain old coax connector 'T', you should look at a real two way line splitter that matches impedances properly, e.g.:

Sinclair also makes a nice little power divider box for this purpose.

First, what is the reason for two antennas? Are they needed only for more RX or both RX/TX?
