Minitor II IF filter and RX deviation adjustment

Post by kv6o »

All -

I have a Minitor II in a modified charging base that sits at my local fire station as the station paging receiver. It's been modified with a 555 timer circuit and some relays to switch the audio to the pager for 60 seconds or so, then go silent (or play MP3's from the external port) and it work's just great. I'd like to modify it to better handle the narrow band, but can't find much information. A service manual would be great! Basically, I guess I would need to replace the existing IF filter with something narrower, and adjust the RX to better receive the 2.5k deviation.

Anyone have a service manual know what needs to be swapped/adjusted? Last resort will be to open up a spare pager here and hunt :-)

Thanks for any help!

Steve
