Programming a Paging Encoder

Post by K8COP »

All,

I have a new Communications Specialists Model PE-1000 paging encoder. The encoder has a custom PROM installed in it. I have the Custom programmed PROM Chart. Communications Specialists no longer has any tech support on this encoder.

Anyone familiar with how to set up the Code Plan Selection, and cap code from the chart? It has been years since I did one of these units.

I need to install this in a local fire department ASAP.

Regards,

Jim

I still have several of these in service, pretty decent units compared to what Zetron wanted for a comparable unit.

PM me if you need a standard code format eprom, I have a copy of the eprom data somewhere here.
