On\Off Duty Minitor VI

Post by The Comish »

I want to create a softer alert tone for when I am off duty and at home vs the louder alert tone when I am at work. Here are the settings that I am considering and want to know if it will work? I like many are confused by the on\off duty check box and what it really does.

For work my SW-1 is set to Selective Call Tone Standard and the On\Off duty button is not checked.
For home my Sw-2 is set to Selective Call Tone Standard and the on\Off duty button IS checked

Under coding option R168(None) I have Call 1 and Call 2 set to the same tones

Call 1 is set to a Custom Alert with On\Off Duty Set to ON
Call 2 is set to Standard and with On\Off Duty set to OFF

I appreciate any help on this...thanks

I don't think you can have call 1 and call 2 set to the sames tones.

Is this a 1 frequency, or 5 frequency model? if it's a 5-frequency, you can set it up as different frequencies, but using the same RF frequency for both, just set the call tones different.

On/OFF duty is used to disable certain codes when off duty.
