Minitor V Question??

Post by yardbirdjr »

Good Afternoon!!

I have a Minitor V question??

I have 4 VHF Minitor V 2 channel pagers.

I am wanting to see if I were to put them in engineering mode.

Can they be brought down from 151-158 Mhz split down to the 30-36 Mhz split.

Working on vacation plans to Hershey PA.

I posted looking for a couple of Minitor 3's or 4's in he 30-36 MHz split but no body seems to have any.

So I am exploring other options

I am even leaning towards carrying a Low Band MT-1000 portable if push comes to shove.

Don't really want to walk around with a portable with an antenna long enough to stick me in the arm pit.

Please let me know

Thanks

I tried moving the splits around one time in engineering mode. As I recall it didn't take the numbers or wouldn't receive. I don't believe they're a SDR device.

I did find several monitors on eBay in the 33 split. Cheapest was about 80 bucks.

Good luck!

No. they won't go to 30-36 MHz. It's a completely different RF board design.
