Motorola Advisor

Post by john5404 »

I have an Advisor pager, it hold 4 capcodes. Anyone who has programmed these knows about the frame numbers. My problem is that every single capcode that my county uses for fire and ems come out to frame 5 after the math...capcode/8=xxxxxx.000
000x8=frame.. any way to get around this? Thanks much !!

Ahhh frames...

Here's the only way to make it fly:
CODE A and B must be the same
CODE C and D must be the same
C&D must be greater than A&B
They cannot all be the same.

Those are the rules.

So, if ALL your capcodes are frame 5, you can only have 2 caps in an advisor.

Advisor gold and later can have mix&match. or all 4 frame 5.

good luck
tpg

EDIT: The correct math to find the frame is:
Capcode/8... whatever the remainder is, is the frame.
cap0000008=frame0
cap0000009=frame1
etc

Pager Geek I'm glad you're posting on here again.
Analog already is interoperable.
