Serial to usb for Minitor V programming

Post by trendle »

Hello. I tried a search and didnt come up with much but I am sure this question has been answered before.

I have a RIBless Mintior V programming setup. It has the DB9 end. My old laptop died and now I have no computer with a DB9 connection. I have a serial to usb connector and am unable to download from the pager.

I tried the delay setting in the PPS to no avail. I tried setting COM1 and COM2 to 1200 bps in my computer's device manager.

I am still unable to read from a pager.

Either I am missing a setting somewhere, or my serial-usb connector is not the right one.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

I use a BAFO BF810 usb to serial adapter with the Min 3s, 4s, and 5s with no problem. There are probably many others available at low cost that would work as well.
