'01 P71 - flasher in trunk

Post by dbcomm »

I was looking in my trunk, and noticed that on the bottom of the trunk lid, there is a standard 12V flasher that is connected to some sort of assembly. I am assuming this is either for alternating the BU/Brake lights, or for aftermarket lights on the lid (which there are none). Anyway, I just bought this one, and I've never seen it before. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks

Does anyone have experience with these? I'm trying to find a trigger. Is it usually ran to a particular location? I'll try to get a picture.

Flasher switch

It's usually a tilt switch on the side of the flasher... Trunk up, lights on... trunk down, lights off... there is sometimes an override switch there to shut it off also.
