Maratrac HEX, sorry I am stupid newbie

Post by mogman »

I have been trying for YEARS on and off to convert Maratrac 42-50 radios to 6M I have both the std. and lab software and NO alt/shift, shift/alt, alt and or shift does not work, I have tried several different hex editors and can NEVER find the number sequences listed here on bat labs, I am just too stupid...
I understand why nobody would want to "deliver" outlaw or illegal software but would it be possible to get someone to modify MY legal OVL.2 file??
Thanks

Wow, that hack has been around for a long time.
Are you using M400 RSS or MARATRAC?
I hacked my M400 R01.00.00 with a date of 07-04-90 back in the early 90's.
If you are not finding the HEX values at the addresses listed, might be due to having a different version of RSS.
I would think that .OVL file is "out there".
I never got versions of MARATRAC to work, but the M400 was pretty easy.

The M400 RSS is much better at out of band restrictions. I find it much easier to use.
