I'm trying to migrate an XTS2500 codeplug to an APX using the Migration Assistant. When I attempt the conversion, the assistant gives me an error that the input file is "not the selected type!"
I've selected the type as "portable", which it is. I've tried it several times to be sure I've entered the type correctly.
Both my XTS CPS and the Migration Assistant are the latest versions.
Any ideas what the problem may be?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: APX migration assistant question
Works OK with some codeplugs but not others. Case opened with Motorola.
Re: APX migration assistant question
UPDATE:
Motorola investigated and determined that some special characters (“>” and “<”) I had used in a particular channel name were the problem.
After removing the “>” and “<” from the offending channel name in the XTS codeplug, and then migrating, the import into the APX codeplug was allowed.
It appears that some special characters are OK and others are not. For example, "+" is OK.
