Saber II VHF

I recently bought a few Saber II's VHF (157-174) split.
I've been able to do as suggested and create a new low-power model RPF to open split to 146-174 and it works!
However, I'm not able to add any other channels than the only one available or enable options which are available in the original codeplug.
Since I'm new to Sabers (and also recently, Spectras) I don't know if I can open, edit and write to radio someone else's codeplug using RSS 7.01.00?
