Okay guys, this is ONLY a question. This is regarding a XTS5000 Model 3 radio.
I have programmed a few UHF T-Band Radios for a trunked system using the passive scan way. I was under the impression I could do that with 700/800Mhz as well.
I programmed my 7/800Mhz up the same exact way I did with the UHF T-Band. Granted the only difference is the UHF was a Smartzone Type II system, while ONE of the 7/800 systems is a P25 Phase I system.
I get ZERO audio out of the XTS5000, while the scanner picks up a couple of the talkgroups "okay-ish". What did I do wrong? Advice please!
Regards,

Re: 700Mhz Programming QUESTION
Thanks but I'm not asking to be "sitting" on the system, just a passive scan like everyone else. I have done it just fine with ZERO issues on UHF T-Band. 700Mhz is a different story it seems. I have someone helping me now.

Re: 700Mhz Programming QUESTION
Bump. I'm still having this issue and have re-programmed the radio from scratch.

Re: 700Mhz Programming QUESTION
You probably have the order wrong for 700 and 800 MHZ control channels in the TRUNKING SYSTEM/ASTRO 25 Channel ID menu.
I won't tell you the correct order of how 700 and 800 CONTROL channels need to be entered in CPS for row 1 and row 2 under the 'astro 25 channel id' nor will I tell you what the correct 700 base frequency is because I don't know anything about your system.
You should be able to search and find the info for what needs to be entered in for ROWS 1 and ROW 2 in a particular order without getting into trouble.
The setting up of 800 MHZ and 700 MHz base frequency information correctly applies even if the system you are attempting to listen to uses 700 MHZ control channels only.
If even one piece of the 700/800 CC info is setup improperly then you'll hear nuttin.

Re: 700Mhz Programming QUESTION
Thanks Mike! I am 90% positive I did that right, but I will go back and re-check it.
