====================
NEW FEATURES / NOTES
====================

Problems solved since previous Release (R03.06.00)

Enhancements:
1) CCB313: Vote Scan Enhancement
Description: 1. Make the following 2 program buttons function when pressed under
active vote scan state or active normal scan state:
a) Backlight
b) Keypad Lock
2. If the option "auto acknowledge in scan" and "voted enable" in scan
sheet are both enabled, acknowledge can be sent when radio decode a
sequence successfully. All the actions and limitation should follow
which on normal scan channel.
3. A new option "Display voted channel on receive" will be added. If this
option is enabled and radio is on a vote channel, it should display the
voted channel alias when receive landed. While radio performs voted
scan, the scan sub-menu should be masked from the menu when radio is
voting scan.
4. If keypad is enabled to a radio, and set the keypad mode to "channel",
allows channel selection by entering the channel number via the keypad
and using the green 'Tick' button under both active vote scan and
active normal scan.
5. "Memory channel buttons" function implementation in portable radio which
allows the user to program channels onto a maximum of two channel select
buttons. A displayed channel is programmed to a button by holding
the button pressed for at least 1 second (1050ms).

2) CCB317: Provide a programmable option to disable the channel knob function
of display model, GP339 and GP339 Plus.
Description: The behavior of this feature should similar as feature Keypad Lock.
When the rotary knob is disabled, rotating the knob will not cause
the Radio to change to other channel. When the rotary knob is enabled,
the knob will function as normal.

Issues Fixed:
1) CDDts08809: Radio reset or halt during few PTT button press continuously
Description: Under certain CPS setting, when PTT button is pressed repeatedly,
the radio will reset or halt.

2) RGPRG00000133: The memory channel button will be locked on portable after keypad lock
button pressing
Description: On waris5t portable, after we press keypad lock button, the memory channel
button will also be locked. However on waris5t mobile radio, the memory
channel button still can function even keypad locked. The mobile radio's
behavior is correct.

Config Byte Usage
=================

Config Byte 1:
--------------
bit0 - set
switch off the backlight of control head A
R03.01.10

bit1 - set
enable a Data PTT TX time-out-timer
The regular Time-Out-Timer mode is then also valid
for fast data PTT.
R03.02.00

bit2 - set
When battery voltage level below the error tone threshold,
the long tone will NOT sound in Tx mode, and battery gauge
will also be freezed while TX. (Portable only)
D03.02.12

bit3 - set
Radio will narrow the default decode tone Min/Max duration to
avoid radio displaying garbage info and reseting issue for system
pre-defined signaling systems.

- cleared
Radio will work in original manner for system pre-defined signaling systems.
D03.02.13

bit4 - set
The start alert will sound on both power on and reset.

- cleared
The start alert will only sound on power on.
D03.02.27

bit5 - set
The enhanced external alarm is configured by setting this bit and programming
GPIO pin 4 to external alarm. The GPIO pin 4 will become active for about 2
seconds after power up delay timer expired. After the 2 seconds timer expired,
if there is not any change requested for the pin4, the pin4 will become inactive.
If there is any change requested for the pin4, the pin4 will become to the latest
change status.

- cleared
The external alarm will act as normal mode, i.e. the GPIO pin 4 will not
become active for about 2 seconds after power up delay timer expired.
Note: Only available for mobiles
R03.07.05

bit6 - set
When the user presses the "Keypad lock" button after feature "Keypad Enable" is
enabled, the keypad is locked and the knob rotary is disabled. Pressing the button
again will recover the keypad and the knob rotary.

- cleared
When the user presses the "Keypad lock" button after feature "Keypad Enable" is
enabled, the "Keypad Lock" button function should be the same as before, i.e. the
keypad is locked but the knob rotary is enabled. Pressing the button again will
recover the keypad.
Note: Only available for display portables
R03.07.05

Config Byte 2:
--------------
bit0 - set
decoder time-out-time (MAX) limitation
to system tone duration + 10 ms
R03.01.22

bit1 - set
decoder integration time (MIN) limitation
to 0.9 * system tone duration
R03.01.22

bit2 - set
The squelch is debounced by four more cycles
(5 instead of 1) to avoid radio resets caused
by a message queue overflow when the squelch flutters.
D03.05.01

bit3 - set
When decoding a "Cleardown" sequence without any
address digits and/or status digits the radio displays
"Call Received".
This is the behaviour up to R03.01.27.

- cleared
When decoding a "Cleardown" sequence without any
address digits and/or status digits the radio does not
change the display.

bit4 - set
Decoded Group Call sequences which contain variable address digits
will not be copied into the Missed Calls List.
R03.02.00

bit5 - set
