Astro Spectra Control Head ???

Post by BigJim »

I am new to the astro spectra, just starting with the CPS and have not come across the option. My question is,,,Is the control head married to the drawer or does the CPS read out and write to which ever head is attached? Can you use a W7 on a unit that came with a W9?

I have programmed many older analog spectras and understand the swapping situations with them..

Thanks to all,

BJ

All the programming is stored in the radio, unlike analog spectra radios with A9 heads where the channel name info was stored in the control head.

You can put whatever head you want on an astro spectra, but it will only work properly with the one designated in the model number and it cannot be changed like the analog spectra RSS would allow.

So, if it's a W7, it's going to stay a W7.
