He is having the exact same issue as you Jason. I told him to post in this thread after he told me the same story a few weeks ago.
cpd249 wrote:I was in a class this week and one of the guys wanted my codeplug. He read my APX 7000 and tried to save it. He got the unknown error message. He changed the save location from the default and it saved fine. I came home and tried it on my computer and it worked once I changed the default location. It has worked on both the APX 7000 and APX 6000.
cpd249 wrote:When I press save it pops up a screen to save it in the CPS file and asks for the name. At the top of the box it says "save in" and by default. I just selected the down arrow and went to my documents and saved it there.

KB9KST wrote:Yes it has the latest firmware. It has to do with something in the codeplug. I can clone in a blank one and it save fine. I put all my data in and it barfs then. I am currently using conventional analog and digital personalities, I have channel announce enabled. Nothing out of the ordinary that I am aware of. Something in the codeplug is preventing it from saving but I don't want to spend hours upon hours modifiying it little by little to find out what it is.
It is just odd.
