MAXTRAC900 TRUNKED TO CONVENTIONAL QUESTION HELP!!!

Post by USGOVTECH »

Hello,

I have the Conventional Firmware for the Maxtrac radio but when I try to re-initalize the logic board there are no options for 900 MHZ. How do I make the radio a conventional 900. The radio was originally a 2 system 900 Trunked radio and I blanked the board, installed the new firmware and tried to re-init. Please help.

Thanks

What is the version number of the RSS you are trying to use to initialize the radio? Old versions may not 'know about' 900 models.

I seem to remember having had this problem with an old version. What you can do is blank the board with your LAB no matter how old it is. Then you can reinitialize the radio with a newer version of regular RSS - in other words once the board is blank the regular RSS will do everything you need to do (as long as you have a version that supports the shift key out of band frequency entry).
