Nucleus 2 Exciter/SCM

Post by kcbooboo »

I have a matched pair: 900 MHz exciter and standard control module, but they only allow me to enter a frequency between 929 and 941 MHz. I don't know which module is limiting me, nor do I know how to get around this restriction. 1996 date codes on the SCM, and it has the newer style plug-in battery.

UPDATE: the exciter WILL go down to 927; the SCM is limiting it to 929.

Anyone have any ideas on how to extend the low range to 927 MHz? If they can't be used on the ham band, I'll sell them for what I paid for them: $90 + s&h.

There wasn't any field to enable/disable freq checking. The station just reported the band limits. Apparently the selectable checking is a feature on other stations but not my Nucleus.
