My Mobile GTX thinks its a HT??

Post by w2rac »

I got a mobile GTX but my RSS says its a model H11W and not a M11W.
How do I change it back??
Or will I need GTX lab software like when a maxtrac is converted from trunk to conventional?

Thanks

Is your mobile GTX "working ok" the way it is? or is something not working?

I have not really tried it yet. I had it in a pile of radios that are all PP models and this one is by the serial number a LTR unit. CB vs CU.
I tried to program it with using a previously created file of my other GTX when I got the error that the models dont match. That is when I saw it.
I am wondering if I use the "clone" option if that will work vs just a strait forward load.
Other wise I will just try to manually enter my freq needed.

see if you can still find the original codeplug for this mobile? If you tried to program it with using a previously created file of my other GTX when you got an error. I don't think the clone will work. I could be wrong? There are a few others who had the same problem as you have.
Go to the "Search" icon on the top of the page here & type GTX LTR you will see a few issues.
Lets see if we get some more replies on this... Can you manually write to it?
