PURC5000 TX PL?

Post by dechief »

I picked up a PURC5000 to use on a 900 MHz repeater and I have a programming question. The model number is C85JLB-1106A and my question is, can it be programmed to transmit PL? I need to find someone with a suitcase programmer to help me out, but I have no idea about the TX PL.

Thanks,
Jack

The PURC5000 can be programmed to transmit either PL or DPL but you will probably be interfacing an outboard controller to make a repeater out of it. It would be less complicated to disable the internal PL in the PURC and use the PL generated in the controller. This seems to be the way most people are doing it.
