XPR-4550 Audio Cable...

Postby fchrist16 » Mon Apr 17, 2017 6:43 pm

Alright, I read somewhere and forgot where...

What is the cable number for the programming/audio (RX/TX)/all in one accessory port on the rear of the XPR mobiles?

Similar to the PMKN4010B with an ignition sense and external speaker cable on it for PA functions. I need one with the RX/TX line headed out for computer use.

Regards,

-Frank C.

I've never seen what you're asking for.

If you want a USB cable to a TRBO 26 pin connector that does all that, it is easy enough to make. Cut the B end off of a USB cable and wire as follows:

pin 1 - green wire
pin 2 - white wire
pin 3 - red wire
pin 4 - black wire

pin 25 is ignition sense

pins 9 and 10 are speaker

So I would have to split pins 9 and 10 twice (which isn't do-able...) to get what I want ideally for the mobile rig...PA/Ext Speaker and RX/TX line use both 9 and 10 I guess?

with the PMKN4010, you can just add whatever pins you need wherever you need them - or if you get PMLN5072A, you can build whatever pinout you want.

You can add additional pins to the PMKN4010, if you have the pins.

http://wiscomm.blogspot.com/2015/08/mot ... -rear.html has the pinout - I believe it's also on batlabs, but they'll sell you a PMLN5072 as well. If you're looking to put this audio into a computer, you may want to use 12 and 14 for audio ground and RX audio respectively, and 11 and 12 for audio going into the radio and audio ground respectively.

What do you mean RX/TX? Audio? Or for reading and writing to the repeater? Or do you mean PTT?

A program I use on the computer, can use the computers microphone and speaker instead of the radio's microphone and speaker...

So 9/10 for PA/Ext Speaker and 11/14 for RX/TX audio! Thank you.
