CP200D Digital Portable

Post by johnny1225 »

I have just put in a system at a Jail with a XPR8400 Repeater and about 40 CP200D Digital Radios. The complaint we are have is they are saying the radios are giving to much feedback and very echo sounding. My question is there anything in the software that i can do to make this better. The repeater or radios? They are very unhappy with the radios and it seems i only get this type of comments when using CP200D digitals. Has anyone else had this problem as well.

Is this a MOTOTRBO system? If so, you may want to look over this thread over on communications.support (formerly P25.ca.)

They can tell the the serving dealer to refer to the service bulletin out on this. It's all about the firmware version and the audio settings. First thing I would do though is turn off AGC.
