MotoTRBO Firmware

Post by radios4bill »

Hi Group, I don't know if this not allowed? So delete away if not. I picked up a XPR 6500 and if has such old firmware R1.00.01 and it don't give the Color Code option that I need for Amateur DMR. I know when "M" discontinues a radio the Firmware was posted but I cant find them and "M" has disabled my account? Anyone know how to get this done? Thanks, Bill

If you can post the model number and the TANAPA code on the radio, that will help. What version of TRBO CPS do you have? Can't use a firmware higher than the CPS will support.

Many people in your position have reported they could NOT upgrade from ancient FW in one step. They stated they had to upgrade from 1.0, to 1.6. Then 1.6 to the current version. Good luck. GARY
