Plug in TRBO radio... PC loses internet..

Post by Forts »

Anyone else have this? Every time I plug my TRBO radio into my PC to do any programming, I lose connectivity. For what ever reason Win 7 obviously wants to use the Motorola network adaptor instead of my regular ethernet adaptor. Anyone know any way to prevent this from happening? I've unchecked everything on the Motorola adaptor properties except TCP/IP.

Check to see that the IP range that's used by the TRBO doesn't conflict with the IP range used by your internet connectivity.

We had that problem, our router was set to 192.168.10.1 and every time we plugged in a trbo we had network issues on that pc. We have since changed our router to a different IP so we wouldn't have to deal with that issue anymore when programming trbo radios.

I had this on a Win 7 machine. I changed the IP settings on the computer to dynamically assigned Ip and allowed it to get its IP from the router. Since then no more issues with losing internet connection while Trbo radio connected.
