APX 7000 host/firmwares...anything to stay away from?

Post by sjxts3000 »

Are there any versions of APX 7000 host/firmware versions to watch out for and stay away from if I were to buy one?

Not really. As long as it's a factory spec radio you can upgrade it for free to the latest anyway; no need for iButtons or anything like that.

Developmental radios, however, can be very troublesome.

I recently went to ver9 and was able to add DYNAMIC ZONE. This is an awesome feature, that allows you to create a zone from any ch/group in the radio.

How does one detect if you have a development radio?
