astro saber fail 001 on certain frequencies

Post by RTESTP25 »

I picked up a astro saber 3 (R) split with DSP=N08.03.03/07.71.00 Flashcode is 100008-000000-0. It seems to work well on most frequencies except 448.750 mhz. I get a fail 001 message and beep. If I change vco crossover to 443 mhz it works ok on the channels I need to program. The default crossover frequency seems to be a problem. Modulation, power and rx performance checks ok on service monitor.

I would have the radio tuned and then if you still have an issue it is probably a hardware fault.

jmr061 is correct on the alignment. People jam in a codeplug and the alignment and calibration values are not correct for that radio.

You need to do a full alignment and calibration first.
