What options are requried on your radio system?

Post by Pj »

A few post's have asked about radio features and flashcodes etc. What features are requried by your radio system to properly work? Choose the best option that fits!

As for me, we require MDC1200 PTT and DVP-XL on a conventional system. Within a year it will be IMBE + DVP-XL, and MDC1200 on the other townwide channels.

I personally use Multikey since I use DVP-XL on two different systems with two different keys. I also use the Call/page feature with a few users on a GMRS system.

Mine requires IMBE Digital and 3600 baud trunking. (and one heck of an expensive Motorola scanner (XTS3000) :P )

eBay at it's finest:
Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"
